Oswestry Woolworths – Store 487

12-14 Cross St, Oswestry, Shropshire SY11 2NG

Woolworths opened in Oswestry in 1932. It was in a purpose-built store on Cross Street, and Littlewoods must have been built next door at the same time as the building is almost identical.

They moved to a bigger location in the 1960s. Today the original Woolworths building still exists, although it’s not looking very nice on the upper floor. It is Sports Direct.
