Woolworths opened in Morecambe in 1939. This was the second Woolworths in this seaside town, just a 10 minute walk from the first (Store 408) which opened in 1930. The newer seafront store had an eye-catching art deco frontage.

Woolworths traded from this location for 70 years, closing in December 2008. There is now a B&M store here.

Woolies Buildings - Then and Now 
I Project Managed both the store refurbishment (which included a new shopfront) and major repair work to the art deco facade at this store.
