After 34 years, this store closed in 1984 along with all the other Irish Woolworths stores.
Thank you to Stephen Nolan for this information: “770 Drogheda must have been reskinned in the 1960s. Primark (trading as “Penneys” in Ireland) bought a job lot of Irish Woolworth stores in 1984 including Drogheda 770, Wexford 773, Tralee 775, Galway 808 and Waterford 418.”
