Note from Stephen Nolan: This store closed in the early 1970s and was occupied by Heatons until relatively recently. County Tipperary had three Woolworths stores – map of stores from 1969 shows Thurles, Clonmel and Tipperary Town having store, A reflection of more prosperous times in Co Tipperary.
This Heatons closed in 2018. They has traded here for 45 years, which means the Woolworths here must have closed in 1973.
