Woolworths opened in Honiton in 1955. It was in a Grade II Listed Building which you can see on the left of the below photo. The Woolworths letters attached to the building rather than their usual red fascia – this was due to it being in a conservation area.

The store traded for less than 20 years, closing in the early 1970s.
Today there is a furniture store in the building.
